about

concrete, constructive or reductive, non-objective art is mostly about expressing ideas through excluding natural forms or symbols. with a function to educate society in terms of new moral values and spirituality, its momentum became apparent in the years between the two great wars of the previous century. spreading across various visual forms, industrial design, typography and architecture, mainly in europe, america, australia and new zealand, non-objective art has almost no tradition in bulgaria. its presence, as part of the local art scene, is growing, but is also relatively small these days. безпредметна софия aims at increasing the popularity of non-objective art in bulgaria and will reflect on relevant events or artifacts. you can contribute to this site by sending images, as well as text in both english or bulgarian to larypsed@gmail.com
